Colorado: Majority of Citizens Do Not Support Stricter Gun Laws
In a recent poll conducted by Survey USA, an overwhelming majority of Colorado citizens declared that they would not support more restrictive gun laws in the Centennial State.
The poll, which was conducted September 9-12, 2012, sampled an even mix of likely voting Democrats and Republicans. The findings show that 56% of those polled believe that it is more important to protect the rights of American gun owners than to control gun ownership.
These are strong bi-partisan results that demonstrate the disconnect that the anti-gun faction of the Colorado General Assembly has with their constituents. With recent talk by legislators to ban certain types of firearms, such as Colorado Representative Beth McCann (D-8), it is imperative that you remember what is at stake when you head to the polls on November 6th.
Within the coming weeks, NRA Political Victory Fund will be releasing candidate grades and endorsements for Colorado’s state and federal candidates. Please rely on these grades and endorsements to see who truly represents your Second Amendment values, and who will protect your gun rights for the future of Colorado.
